3 Great Video Ideas to Showcase Your Campground

Capturing people’s attention is so much easier with video, and it’s an easy way to get noticed online. Almost all social platforms are putting a strong emphasis on short-form video content (less than two minutes). This means that your post will be seen by an even wider audience. Not sure what to post? Here are three great video ideas to showcase your campground.

Time Lapse Video

Time lapse videos are a fantastic technique to showcase a certain area of your campground. Perhaps you’re known for your spectacular sunsets or a fun playground that you’d like to show off. You can make a simple but interesting video by setting up your camera for an hour, capturing what happens, and then speeding up the clip to fit into a 30-second video. Bonus points if you add a trending song to go along with it.

A Sunset At Davis Lake. At the mile post 243 exit on the Natchez Trace and about 4 miles you'll meet this 200 acre lake in Houston Mississippi.Lots of fishing and camping here and a great setting for dramatic sunsets.

Camper Interviews

Nothing makes campers want to come to your campground like hearing from a fellow camper. Stories are a super powerful way to get emotional buy-in from potential campers.  Ask about a camper’s favourite camping memory or a funny story. Remember – keep it short and to the point.

Day In The Life

Showing campers the “behind the scenes” life of being a campground owner can help build relationships with your campers. It is also a great way to tease up coming events like when you start taking bookings or special events at your campground. Simply record yourself planning out the event and let people know any important details by adding text on top of your video.
